The Exies!!!

**Hey guys I'm the mods best friend! We go to every show together and rock out like you wouldn't believe, lol. Anywho. this was a post in my journal and I'm gonna help her out here ya go:

so i'm surprised that nearly nobody has heard of The Exies! I had two extra tickets due to the fact that something came up with our friend david and my bf josh got food poisioning or something. josh loves them even more than me so i know he was feeling terrible the poor thing. But things happen for a reason because now pam and i have a new concert whore!!!! I called up Linda and she didn't know them either but she's so kick ass that she was excited to go anyway! people know i love good music.  never got a fourth person so the ticket went to waste but it was only 5 bucks. thankfully we got in b/c it was under josh's name for will call. As always I lead the way up to the front. no barrier, i love that! The opening bands were really good. First time to see/hear them. I can't get over how the singer from The Vanished looks like Eddie Izzard's twin! craziness. he's a funny man.

we had lots of fun to say the least. when The Exies came on they loved us to death for singing along and going crazy. After the show it was amazing to see how personal these men are! every one of them went directly to the merch table and sold thier own stuff while signing, meeting, and taking pictures with each fan!!! That was so  honorable of them. some bands don't even bother to come out at all! we waited for everyone to leave so we could have a one on one conversation with them without being rushed. We went up to them and introduced ourselves and Freddy (aka "Mr. Smiles" as i call him :9 ) said to me " Hey you were the girls in the front! You're awesome! You were singing every word to every song, thank you!!!" lol i said "ah man we love you so much!" then Scott gave us each a kiss on both cheeks, cute :D. I got josh a shirt since he paid for all the tickets, and a poster. I had ripped the set list paper off the stage too so they signed everything for us and came over to take our group picture! I have chilled with some great guys, they have to be one of the sweetest guys ever. so personal and appreciative, i can go on and on about how i loved that. They will be at Buzzfest but unfortunatly every single band there but them SUCK! so we'll see them again the next show after that i guess.

22/15/05 Houston, TX. @ The Engine Room

Houston! We've always had such a good time here, considering all the radio play from "The Buzz" and the three "Buzzfest's" we've done, so, of course we were happy to be back. We went over to the Buzz to do our acoustic versions of "Ugly" and "My Goddess" on air and hang out with Vince, the PD and everyone at the station. Next, we headed over to the club to do a soundcheck and get our bearings. We were hoping for a good turnout but it was WAY better than we ever expected, or even hoped for. I can't remember what the name of all the bands but we really dug The Vanished, a band out of Dallas who are actually going to be doing about 3 more dates with us and are very cool guys. I know I always write this but this time when I say the show was off the hook.. it was OFF THE HOOK!!!! People were singing all the words to every song but when we played "Ugly", if Scott would of stopped singing I don't know if anybody would of even noticed, everyone was singing so loud! Needless to say, we were digging it! Who wouldn't? Thanks Houston, you know how to ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! .........................Peace, the exies

Hey everyone, I'm new here.

So...just to get the ball rolling, what is everyone's favorite CD/Song by The Exies? I've only heard their self-titled, and inertia, and I looooved both of them. However, 'Baby's Got a New Revelation' completely won me over, and I fell in love with their self-titled. I've heard 'Ugly' and while I kind of appreciate the maturity and more intense sound, I'm not sure I like it as much as their pior two albums.

What about you guys?
